Dr. Amy Trussell DVM:
Dr. Trussell was raised on a horse farm in southern Wisconsin and has made her home in Oskaloosa, Iowa since 2008. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006. Dr. Trussell's practice is the only small animal exclusive practice in the Oskaloosa area and is LOCALLY OWNED!!!  She collects basset hounds and enjoys going to horse shows.  Contact Dr. Trussell with all your small animal needs. 

Dr. Erin Peeler
Dr. Peeler joined our practice in 2017. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and has developed a successful Relief Veterinary Service that we use for our practice. Dr. Peeler is a strong medicine based veterinarian with an outstanding personality. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 kitty cat children.  

Amy Legvold
Amy is our team leader. She is a true animal lover and has a special place in her heart for Golden Retrievers!
She was born and raised here in Oskaloosa Iowa.
Amy provides amazing customer service with her bright personality and knowledge of animals. Amy gives great care and comfort to all pets. Amy enjoys traveling, music, gardening, playing with her Golden Retrievers "Legend" & "Brooklyn", bike riding, kayaking and most of all spending time with her family & friends.

Maria Settimi
Maria is a local girl who joined our practice her junior year of High School and has grown with our practice since. She is in college now majoring in biology with a focus on environmental science with a minor in chemistry. Maria wants to return to the area when she finishes her degree and practice medicine with the Oskaloosa Small Animal Veterinary Clinic. She is a member of the Midland University shooting team and loves attending concerts with her friends, kayaking, and weekends on the river.

Jenna Fynaardt
Jenna is the morning sunshine to our clinic's grooming facility. She will send your pet home looking it's finest after a day at the spa. She Jenna grew up on a farm outside of Oskaloosa and has spent her whole life in the area. She enjoys riding horses, performing in drill team, kayaking, going to rodeos, as well as spending time with her family, friends, and her Australian Shepherd "Oliver".

Chelsea Hunt
Chelsea is our certified Veterinary Technician, she is from the local area and has worked in the Technician field for several years. Her strong knowledge of animal health coupled with her education really makes her a huge asset to the clinic. Chelsea enjoys riding quarter horses as well as performing in a drill team. She spends a ton of time with her daughter. Chelsea also loves weekends with her friends and kayaking.

Levi Kraber

  Levi is our resident quarter horse fan, she comes to us from the farthest Eastern corner of the state, barrel racing is her passion.  She lives in rural Wapello county on a horse farm with her 3 quarter horses, mule, and her husband. She enjoy hanging out, camping, and going to horse and car races. She splits her time between front of house duties and as a veterinary assistant.
